What exactly is this?

I discovered this forum after just adjusting my search date, and I've decided to register after reading a couple of things to attempt to find out what exactly this is. I suppose I still won't get a straight answer out of this, but it's easier than trying to sift through the few posts that seem to be left(?) after whatever seemed to be happening.

I mean I've read the "terms" of this place and know that you people aren't supposed to refer to how you got to her other than as "The Institute" (which inevitably reminds me of another name in somewhat of the same topic, the horror podcast/radio drama The Magnus Institute). I would like some crutches to rely on for information, at least some starting points. "What is a MOTH?" And whatnot.

Others may have a different answer, but a moth as I see it is one who finds themself in the darkness and seeks out the light, who tugs on the threads they find wherever that leads them. This is a place to share and seek answers to those things we can't explain, even if those answers are not forthcoming, but to seek them out nonetheless.
