How interesting. That was only a few months ago. I know my perceived skepticism to certain subjects has irked people in the past but I must admit, what ever connection is there, I’m failing to spot. I presume we’re assuming a connection to the missing person report and the full moon, though the dates are different. Have there been other such incidents that match the pattern? Any luck on finding past editions of the paper that may shed some light?

Not to suggest this is connected though I did find this interesting when doing a bit of digging. Full moons, despite generally being associated with lycanthropy show up fairly frequently in folklore in regards to shapeshifters in general. I found a few places for example, which mention the connection to Selkies who may find it easier to shed their skin during full moons. Selkies in folklore can take the form of beautiful women in order to marry mortal men, before returning to the sea in their true forms. Alternatively they may appear to grieving wives who long for their husbands, luring them away from their home, never to be seen again. An interesting bit of folklore.

I should not be doing this, and everything is telling me this is a dumb thing to do, but I couldn't help myself. It's not the same.

Blacked out what I needed to.

My god! you're right. The year's different as well. The original said April 19th 1945 and now late October 1943. What on earth is going on?

Have seen the April version as well. That's alarming.
